Artwork by Jackie
Alan Giuliano, Ph.D.
The textures of Jackie's
work are dynamic and alive with the energies of the Earth. A professor
of environmental studies, Jackie teaches people of our deep connections
to the Earth and the web of life. His art pieces are rich with imagery
of those connections. His dreamcatchers, inspired by the original
Native American forms, have beads and imagery woven in that integrate
many spiritualities. It is not uncommon to find the African goddess
Aku'aba along side a totem pole in Jackie's dreamcatchers. His decorative
gourds, photographs and ceramics all share common themes, textures,
and materials. All the photos on other pages of this web site are
by Jackie unless otherwise indicated.
