BIOGRAPHY

Jackie Alan Giuliano, Ph.D. is a father, activist, educator, and deep ecologist. Prior to entering the field of education, he studied the planets in our Solar System from one end to the other during a 20-year career in the U.S. space program. He discovered that there may not be a single drop of available fresh water or a breath of fresh air other than on Earth. Humans may one day live on other worlds, but the Earth will be always be our only true home.

Jackie has lectured widely on a variety of topics, including environmental issues, ecology, teacher education, education issues, astronomy, early childhood education, and most recently about divorce and the unjust treatment of fathers by family law courts around the nation. He has taught and consulted to many business leaders, numerous organizations, and instructed educators in techniques of teaching critical thinking and learning skills.

Jackie has been teaching as a university professor of education and environmental studies for 16 years, specializing in educating adults who have returned to school to complete degree programs. He is a designer of online learning experiences and an expert in developing teaching experiences that focus on critical thinking.

He has spent the last decade working as an environmental educator to reverse the separation from the natural world that so many of us face. He has written over 250 commentaries and articles that can be found at websites and in publications around the world.

Jackie maintains a website of his teachings and a complete archive of his work at http://www.healingourworld.com. He is the author of two books, "Healing Our World, A Journey from the Darkness into the Light" and "Of This Earth: Reflections on Connections."
